In last week’s update, I added a feature to change the canvas background color. Now you can now use the “Eyedropper Tool” to pick any color you want. So you can hide certain parts of the text by making them the same color as the background.
So I did a small text experiment using “out of context” writing to show it more clearly. But because the colors are generated randomly, it ended up creating some grammar mistakes. I tried to fix it many times, but I couldn’t get a perfect result. This is the best version so far. The original text was: “I had an argument with my friend today. At first, I didn’t realize my own fault; I felt I hadn’t done anything wrong and that it was all her fault. But later, I recognized my mistake.” But after some information was hidden, the meaning changed to: “I had argument with friend today. First fault. I felt I hadn’t done anything wrong, it was all her fault.”
To test the limits of the distortion settings, I added a “loop” command. This just repeats the parameters you’ve already set. You can choose how long it lasts and how many times it loops. In the first two versions, the image starts to show a “glitch effect” by the fifth loop. By the thirty-ninth loop, the information completely disappears.
I also added a feature to upload images. Now, you can choose to distort either the text or the image itself.
You can try lots of different combinations of emojis or emoticons. I think these distorted visual expressions are the most fun way to play with the website.
